5. Change your stripes
Painting stripes on the wall? Our list of genius painting tricks has something to help you with that! Conventional wisdom dictates that painter’s tape is the ideal choice for this job.
If you want to avoid paint bleeding under your masking tape, go a step further by using Scotch Blue as your foundation and then applying a thin line of latex caulk along its edge. By the way, Amazon always has the best prices on Scotch Blue!
This watertight bond seals off the area way better than the blue stuff on its own. Once the caulk has dried, paint just up to the caulk line, then wait a few hours before peeling away both tape and caulk. Magic! Perfect stripes.
