9. Trade up to a bucket
Painting trays are undeniably convenient, and every professional painter uses them. They make it easy to dip the roller and help a lot with removing excess paint for a clean paint job.
However, if you’re painting a bigger room, you’ll have to refill the tray several times before the job is finished. Which sends us to the last entry on our list of genius painting tricks: save yourself the trouble by pouring the paint into a large pail with a top that’s wide enough to fit your roller.
Make sure to also add a grate to help you remove excess paint, and ta-da! Your workstation is ready to go!
