2. Shelves and bookcases

Bookcases, shelves, and other pieces of furniture that can hold things were extremely popular a few years ago. And they are truly useful. The only drawback would be that they can collect clutter and dust if you don’t clean often enough.

If you feel like you have a lot of shelves and think that they are old and out of style, you can try the painting projects again. Look around you. What colors are on your walls? Do you like their color? If yes, try to paint your shelves and bookcases in an accent color that will pop out and give life to your room again.

You should consider every detail in your room. The color of the curtains, the color of the pillows, and all the artwork you have hung on your walls—all of it matters. Then try to choose a color that works with all of them.

If you have more bookcases, what you can do is paint the interior, the part that is in the back. This is the easiest way you can add some personality to your home. All objects must be removed from the bookcases in order to prepare them for painting. The surface should then be lightly sanded. Then add a thin layer of primer, let it dry, and lastly, apply the paint.
