1. Chairs
We all have those boring chairs in our dining rooms or kitchens. Maybe they were not boring at first, but after you had them for a long time and got used to them, you might feel like you needed a change.
But wait a second! If you thought about throwing them away and just buying a new set of chairs, we think that this is not the best idea. If your old chairs are not broken, why would you throw them away?
If you want a cheaper and more efficient approach, all you need to do is try one of our many painting projects! All you have to do is give your chairs a new life by painting them. There is not a lot of preparation, but you still need to know a few things beforehand.
Remove any pillows or other objects you don’t want painted before you start painting, or better yet, just tape them off. Additionally, you need to sand the surface with coarse grit. The chair must go through this process in order for the paint to adhere.
Also, don’t forget to add a coat of primer, which you need to let dry. After all of the preparation, you are good to go and can start painting the old chairs. If you have wooden chairs, the best way to paint them is to brush with the grain and not against it. This will give you the smoothest finish. The whole process could require more than one coat, in which case we suggest waiting for the paint to dry in between.
