11. Reinforce Door Jambs
Keep your home safe by having a high-security door lock. This is definitely very important. However, don’t forget about your door frames or jambs. If they’re weak, you need to reinforce them so that they aren’t easy to kick in.
When intruders cannot jar the lock, they may try to kick in the doors. If you don’t reinforce those doors, you basically make their jobs much harder. So go ahead and check those jambs or frames. Most burglars will cuck up the sponge when they cannot easily enter a house.
12. Close the Garage Door
Keep your home safe by making sure your garage door is closed, especially when you’re gone. If you forget to close it regularly, you can get a timer to do that for you. Simply set it to close the door after a certain amount of time has elapsed so that intruders can’t get inside. The sensors are very easy to install and relatively affordable considering the alternatives.
