You can purchase fake alarm system decals to keep would-be burglars off of your property. Amazon sells them, or you can find them at yard sales and other places. Although you’ll know that your house doesn’t really have an alarm system, intruders will definitely think twice before trying to enter when they see the “warning signs” saying your home is protected.
2. Keep Your Landscaping Neat
Criminals love spots to hide, so if you have any untrimmed bushes near your windows, this is basically like inviting them to invade your house. If you know you’re going to be away from home, like on vacation or something, it’s very important that you keep your bushes trimmed and your lawn mowed to give the impression that you’re still at home.
