1. Make sure you have the measurements
Before starting any home upgrade that needs decluttering, make sure you have all the measurements that you need. This is really the first step; don’t buy any storage boxes before doing the measurements. A lot of people make this mistake, but don’t panic; anything has a solution!
After you’re all set, start taking all the unnecessary items and throwing them in a trash bin, or if you want to resell or donate them, put them in boxes (don’t forget that it is important to get rid of a lot of them to save up space). This will take you some time because you might feel nostalgic too… We know what it’s like. Don’t worry, and take your time!
