Decant your snacks

Even if decanting traditionally refers to wine, in this particular case, we’re solely talking about taking various foods like chips, pretzels, and even cereal out of their original bulky packaging, and carefully placing them into air-tight containers.

This way, they will remain fresh for a longer time, and save you a ton of space, as Ría Safford, a famous celebrity organizer and the founder of RíOrganize has explained (and she must know what she’s doing, after all, she only organized Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s pantry!)

Use the inside of your pantry door

If you don’t have a ton of space, this is a great way to add a little bit of extra storage, as Safford recommended. Add a metal shelving unit on the inside of the door (if you don’t like the prospect of having metal shelving, you can opt for a less permanent option). You will notice all that extra space you’ll instantly get.

  1. It would have been very helpfull to have pic for each and every item as ive never seen a few things you suggested.
    Otherwise it was helpfull.
    Thank you.

  2. We are expecting to build anew home starting within the next 6 months so these ideas are very helpful. I took notes 😃
    Thank you

  3. I’ve never had a lot of space, so I already do many of these suggestions. I have also found in a catalog labels that wash off. Yes, paper labels that dissolve in water. I use them on everything, particularly in the freezer where I have stood, holding something frozen and wondering whatever in the world is this and when did I put it in here. I wish I could remember the catalog but I get so many. It was in one that has only two pictures on a page.
