1. Droppings
One of the telltale signs of a pest infestation is droppings, so you may want to look after them if you think you’re dealing with this sort of issue in your home (that is, if you haven’t already spotted droppings in your house).
Look around in areas of your house where pests are likely to hang out—the basement, crawl spaces, the area behind your water heater, the attic, etc. If you notice any pest droppings, be sure you’re dealing with a pest invasion.
You may be able to tell what kind of insect invaders are lurking around based on the size and shape of the droppings. For instance, rodent droppings are spindly or conical in shape. On the other hand, insect droppings are much smaller.
