Small Bathroom? Make a Statement With These 16 Tricks!

Stay with bright and light colors.

One of the best-kept secrets to decorating small bathrooms is a wood floor and a vanity. These two will give your bathroom a warm and serene feeling. Moreover, a soft mint green hue would reflect the natural light from the window, and the space around that freestanding tub will make the room feel more open, as will the lightweight curtain fabric, which will let the light fill the space.

Double down with a dark color scheme.

If light colors aren’t really your thing, don’t worry. There are many creative options for those of you who love black colors, too. It gives the place a lot of depth, and it also creates the illusion of a bigger space. You might want to go with a high-gloss in a super dark color, as the hue will instantly impart that big night-sky effect but also bounce the little light you have around your space.

This way, you will draw attention to the light fixtures. If you ask me, you should carefully focus on the light fixtures and go for bulbs that come with a ton of light.

Mirror a wall

If you’re not thrilled by the idea of hanging a mirror above the vanity, you might want to try setting a mirror on the entire wall of your tiny bathroom. Here’s an interesting thing about mirrors as wide as our walls: the reflection of light and patterns might do the same good work as our window does.

The light bounces back in every little corner of our bathroom, and the whole place will seem bigger than it is. Adding mirrors to any small room is probably still one of the greatest realizations in the interior design world. Trust me; there’s absolutely no way in which you might go wrong: the mirror will save your space!

These are some very good ideas and I can’t wait to run them by my wife to see what she thinks. We have always had a small bathroom in every place we’ve lived over the years and now we have enough $ that we can do something about it. After almost 48 years together I believe it’s time for us to splurge a little and do something that we both will like!
