These 10 Garage Updates Will Boost Your Home’s Value

8. Add a walk-through door

A lot of people who have detached garages did this hack! You can avoid constantly opening and closing the main garage door by having a professional install the door for you. A separate entrance is one of the best enhancements you can do to raise the value of your residence.

Besides allowing you to enter the house without using the front door, especially if you come home at night, this door is pretty useful to also keep the house warm inside during the cold season.

9. Don’t neglect the outdoors!

It’s likely time for a redo if your pavement is cracked and damaged. The driveway is a sizable element in the front of your house and enhances curb appeal, much like the garage door. The aesthetic of the entire building will improve with a new driveway.

For the majority of individuals, installing an asphalt driveway is not a do-it-yourself project; nonetheless, being aware of the process will help you choose the best contractor and guarantee that the job is done correctly.
Installing a radiant snow-melting system may be a good idea if you reside in a northern area. Why? Since installing these systems is a simple enough DIY effort, even though the materials may cost you, they are a terrific bargain because they are quite durable.

If your future plans include selling your house, then you must know that this feature will considerably raise its value.

10. Keep everything tidy: inside and outside your garage

A messy place will keep the buyers away because, in most cases, they form their opinions before entering your house. So be careful and take care of both your indoors and outdoors. Even if you don’t plan to sell your home anytime soon, having a cute and cozy place should be mandatory for everybody! So make it count!

Happy renovation.

I’m not trying to make any body green with envy. I want to fit my car into the garage and right now if I was able to drive my car into the garage, I would not be able to get out of the car. There is maybe one hundred inches to park the car in the garage and my car would require at least 90 inches. I would need another 40 to 50 inches to open the driver’s side door and get out of the car, walk to the back of the car, open the trunk or maybe the side passenger door and get the groceries bags out or whatever I came home with.

I am about to move into a home with a super small garage so , like my daughter did we are going up in the garage, I am excited to get the lift for items and the shelving put in with a complete floor above the cars this will help at least for Christmas things and such, we are older so we don’t have kids living at home but we seem to have things we need to be able to get to.
