Door handles
While you’re at it, don’t forget to clean your door handles. These are probably the things that we get in contact with the most, and they can harbor plenty of germs, so you better make sure you give them a good old-fashioned scrub.
They get used a lot, so yes, they’re on the list of things to clean before having guests. Wipe down your front handle and the knobs, and if you don’t know what to use, we highly recommend you try these Clorox wipes.
Moreover, among all the other things that might get overlooked, we also have appliance handles. Whether it’s your fridge handle or even your stove knobs, these are touched very often, and they immediately accumulate dirt and grime. Just take a little time to disinfect them before your guests arrive.
Couches and kitchen chairs
Another important part of cleaning is the good old furniture cleaning. Clean kitchen chairs and a clean living room couch where your guests will be sitting are essential. Also, make sure you use the vacuum or brush off any crumbs.
Give them a proper wipe-down with a nicely scented disinfectant, if the fabric allows it. Also, make sure you don’t forget to clean your throw pillows and blankets sitting on your couch and chairs.
They also collect dirt and grime, so give them a good wash if possible. And I’m not done: check the space between the cushions and behind the couch. You might have personal items hiding there that you completely forgot about. Check the floors under your furniture for extra clutter, and vacuum all the nooks and crannies on your couch.
