  • Try to prevent damage by checking for leaks!

If you reached this far with the reading then you probably got the main idea. But before we go, we must mention another secret from the plumbers. Make it a habit to regularly check your home’s exterior for leaks. With the tremendous inflation we are experiencing, even little leaks waste a lot of water and can raise the bills in the blink of an eye is the last thing we want.

Up to 200 gallons of water might be lost each day by a running toilet. Small leaks may occur in garbage disposals, refrigerators, dishwashers, water heaters, and washing machines, which can cause expensive damage and high repair costs. Hidden leaks might be detected by low water pressure or a rapid rise in water use.

However, if you find this task too difficult to figure out on your own, call a plumber. They’ll be happy to help you out!

  1. For excess grease after cooking save and use your old paper coffee cups instead of a jar or plastic. Freeze the grease then dispose in garbage on morning of garbage collection. I do this with many of old cooking liquids and in summer chicken and meat bones
