Try using helper shelves

There’s a lot of empty vertical space between shelves, so why not use it? Helper shelves are the go-to of any professional organizer because they allow you to store twice as much in the same space. All you have to do is to place it on one of your shelves, and you can start adding items to it and maximize your storage space.

Use turntables

All the professional organizers we’ve asked have mentioned this tip, so I guess it’s fair to say that it’s worth trying. The whole idea of this organizing tip is to get a turntable and place it in corners or deep shelves. This way, nothing will be out of reach.

Safford also recommended using the turntable to store items that are a bit heavier, such as olive oil or sauces, as it might get too difficult to store in a bin. Divided turntables are also a good idea for storing kids’ snacks, so you can simply grab them and go.

  1. It would have been very helpfull to have pic for each and every item as ive never seen a few things you suggested.
    Otherwise it was helpfull.
    Thank you.

  2. We are expecting to build anew home starting within the next 6 months so these ideas are very helpful. I took notes 😃
    Thank you

  3. I’ve never had a lot of space, so I already do many of these suggestions. I have also found in a catalog labels that wash off. Yes, paper labels that dissolve in water. I use them on everything, particularly in the freezer where I have stood, holding something frozen and wondering whatever in the world is this and when did I put it in here. I wish I could remember the catalog but I get so many. It was in one that has only two pictures on a page.
