Don’t throw yourself into it if it’s your first time decorating with plants!
All of us have had a plant or two in our lives, so we have an inkling about whether or not we have green thumbs or not. However, deciding to decorate using plants is a big project, and the first thing you need to make sure of is that you can handle having so many plants in your care.
No matter how good or bad you think you are at taking care of your plants, deciding that you will be decorating your spaces with them is definitely a bigger project than just having a few plants here and there around your home. In order to make sure that you are not going to spend a fortune on different types of plants and planters for nothing, make sure that you can handle having a couple of them in addition to the ones you already own!
Start with adding a few easy-to-care-for plants in one of the spaces you chose and give it some time so you can learn how it would be to have more of them. That way, you will not end up with a house full of dead plants because you cannot handle having them all around.
Some easy-to-care-for plants with which you can start include snake and spider plants, succulents and cacti, bamboo, photos, and the ZZ plant!
