6. The price tags can tell you more than just the price

This is somehow an already-known secret among the savvy shopping community: the price tags of the items can tell you some other things about the items besides the price. And this can’t be missed on a list of Home Depot secrets.

These codes are used by the employees to move merchandise, but the shoppers who know what any sign means can immediately spot the items that they can buy for a lower price.

When going to Home Depot, keep this in mind: always look for the yellow price tags. If the price ends in .06, this means that you have to wait six more weeks before the item will have a lower price. If it ends in .03, the items will be donated to charity or moved to clearance in three weeks.

It’s possible to obtain even bigger discounts on inexpensive, high-quality things that any DIYer will enjoy by paying attention to those yellow tags.
