Safety sensors

You may have heard of these sensors when it comes to the ones that we put outside to ensure that our property is well guarded. However, technology has evolved, and there are some indoor safety sensors that are specifically used to ensure seniors’ well-being and that someone can get to them in due time in case something has happened and they live alone.

It may sound a bit weird, but they are a great way to make sure that you will be able to keep your independence and that you can continue living in your own home once you have reached a certain age. These devices can easily be installed next to frequently used doors, and they are connected to an app that will record every time someone walks by the sensor.

That way, someone from your family or a caregiver that you work with can easily access the application and check how often you have been going by the sensor. They are generally placed next to the bathroom or kitchen, as these areas are frequently walked by, and it means that you can move around freely around the home. If it happens that you haven’t gone by these safety sensors, then the other person can see it on the app and see that something may be off in your day-to-day routine.

This can be anything, from having gotten sick all the way to more life-threatening situations, so keep these safety devices in mind to give everyone in your family some peace of mind!
